The inaugural edition of Murty Trust Kala Dhara was held on January 3rd and 4th, 2026, at Gol Gumbaz in Vijayapura, Karnataka. The two-day cultural event featured renowned artists presenting Carnatic instrumental, Hindustani vocal, Bharatanatyam, and Kathak performances. Entry was free and open to all. 

Kala Dhara at this historic venue was made possible by the Archaeological Survey of India, Karnataka Tourism Department, and the District Administration of Vijayapura. The event was organized by Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Bengaluru with support from the Murty Trust.
