MacArthur Fellow Dr. Manu Prakash from Stanford delivered the Murty Trust’s annual public talk on “Frugal Science” on 6th September 2025 at Sir Puttanna Chetty Town Hall, Bengaluru. He demonstrated how his revolutionary Foldscope and other low-cost tools make powerful research accessible worldwide. This event was organized and hosted by the National Centre for Biological Sciences (NCBS), with support from the Murty Trust.
